I wasn't going to post this, but I learned some things while doing this excercise, so I thought I'd at least talk about them. I took three movie stills from Stanley Kubricks 'Killers Kiss,' a black and white film, and applied color to them. The most imporant insight I had dealt with the intricacies of composition, and the purpose for certain objects being where they are. I started paying attention to how each of the elements led into the focal point through implied lines. It seems pretty simple, but small details are difficult to pick up while watching a film.
